The event, which was opened by the Director General of Industrial Strategy and SMEs of the Ministry of Industry and Tourism, Teresa Parejo, brought together in Madrid more than 150 representatives from the industrial, energy, transport and other sectors.

In this context, Claudio Rodríguez, Director of Technical Services and Technology at Enagás, emphasized the importance of integrating technologies and stakeholders to accelerate the decarbonization of transport, and highlighted the development of energy infrastructure and corridors as key elements for a sustainable and competitive transition.

The industry's commitment to sustainable mobility
The following panel has focused on the role of industry as a driver of the energy transition, highlighting the technological and industrial capacity of the Spanish business sector. In this regard, Roberto Miguel-Nieto, Global Design Director and Director of the Spanish R&D Center at HORSE Technologies, advocated an evolutionary vision of the energy transition, emphasizing that industry does not advance in leaps, but rather through transitions, and highlighting the development of highly optimized hybrid and electrified technologies, capable of operating with e-fuels or low-carbon fuels, as a realistic bridge towards decarbonization.

Regarding the aeronautical sector, Javier Augusto Arnaldo, Head of Sustainability at Airbus Spain, pointed out that the decarbonization of aviation is both a challenge and an opportunity, and highlighted the role of sustainable aviation fuels (SAFs) and, in the longer term, hydrogen, as key vectors for moving towards more efficient aviation. For his part, Jesús Puelles, Managing Director for Iberia & Africa at Marine Power Sales of Wärtsilä, stated that operational efficiency must be at the heart of any decarbonization strategy for maritime transport.
Finally, Minerva González, Head of Hydrogen Generation at Navantia Seanergies, explained that their CoEx Green Energies center of excellence has developed “Sisprove”, an analytical tool to compare hydrogen, its vectors and energy transformation technologies, and evaluate options
more efficient and sustainable propulsion and auxiliary generation.
In addition, AVIA showcased a fuel cell electric vehicle (FCEV) tractor unit, presenting a zero-emission heavy-duty mobility solution ideal for long-distance freight transport. The event was supported and coordinated by the Higher Technical School of Engineering and Industrial Design (ETSIDI) of the Polytechnic University of Madrid, which hosted the event at its facilities, strengthening the link between academia and industry in the transition to more sustainable mobility.

The meeting concluded with a message shared by all participants: technological neutrality is a strategic advantage that has allowed progress in the decarbonization of transport without compromising competitiveness, employment or industrial leadership.
The organizing entities insist on the need for stable regulatory frameworks, clear signals to the market, and public policies aligned with technological reality, which will consolidate Spain as a European benchmark in clean mobility solutions under the umbrella of the Spain brand.
