SHYNE Partners

An alliance and collaboration network with common objectives

Major Spanish companies act as promoters of the alliance. Repsol leads this consortium together with leading companies in its sector -Alsa, Bosch, Enagás, Enagás Renovable, Naturgy, Navantia y Talgo-, which act as promoters of the initiative.

Collaboration Network

In total, more than 30 partners (associations, public and private companies, technology centres and universities) collaborate in the consortium.

Promoters

Alsa

The values ??on which Alsa develops its corporate responsibility programs are excellence, safety, customers, people, commitment to the community and the environment. As sustainable, multimodal and connected mobility companies, Alsa wants to lead the transition to eco-fleets in our country. That is why it has acquired the commitment that all its urban buses operated in Spain will be zero emissions in the year 2035.

Bosch

The Bosch Group is a leading global provider of technology and services. Its operations are grouped into four business areas: Mobility, Industrial Technology, Consumer Goods, and Energy and Building Technology. As a leading IoT company, Bosch offers innovative solutions for smart homes, Industry 4.0 and connected mobility. Bosch pursues the vision of sustainable, safe and exciting mobility. It uses its expertise in sensor technology, software and services, as well as its own IoT cloud, to offer its customers cross-connected solutions through a single source.

ENAGAS

It is the global company of the Enagás Group, which include all the subsidiaries.

Enagás, S.A. is responsible for the activities of regasification, basic and secondary transportation, and storage of natural gas, through its own or third-party gas infrastructures, as well as carrying out auxiliary activities or activities linked to the previous ones.

Likewise, it is in charge of the design, construction, commissioning, exploitation, operation and maintenance of gas infrastructures and complementary facilities.

Enagás Renovable

Enagás Renovable has a portfolio of more than 30 specific projects in Spain in the field of renewable gases and decarbonisation, which represents one of the largest European platforms for renewable gas projects. Currently, its shareholding structure is made up of Enagás (60%), Hy24 —a joint venture formed by Ardian and FiveT Hydrogen— (30%), Pontegadea (5%) and Navantia —SEPI— (5%). The activity of Enagás Renovable is focused on: - Green hydrogen projects: different types of projects depending on their main final applications (industry, mobility and blending). - Biomethane projects: upgrading of existing biogas plants and development of integrated solutions. Enagás Renovable already has several pioneering projects, including the commissioning of the first green hydrogen industrial plant in Spain, located in Lloseta (Mallorca), and the commissioning of the "UNUE" biomethane production plant, in Burgos, the latter being the first large-scale project in the field of biomethane - with connection to the gas grid - carried out in Spain by a private initiative.

Navantia

Navantia Seanergies is the green energy division of Navantia, created by the Spanish State Owned company to be a global supplier in the green energy sector. Navantia Seanergies develops its activity around two main axes: infrastructures for offshore wind farms and the development of hydrogen as an energy vector. In the latter field, Navantia Seanergies, which has more than 15 years of experience in the development of hydrogen technology propulsion systems, seeks to become a benchmark company in the field of decarbonization of maritime transport, offering low-emission propulsion solutions (in the short and medium term) and zero emissions in the long term. It also seeks to establish itself in the hydrogen value chain, through the manufacture of components such as electrolysers, a key element in ensuring the development of this technology, and the industrialization of generation plants, whether in a coastal or offshore environment. For the assembly of electrolysers, Navantia Seanergies has equipment and facilities with a high level of qualification and experience in complex assemblies and machining processes commonly used in the naval, nuclear and wind energy sectors. Navantia is linked to the SHYNE initiative, since 2022, where it plays a relevant role as a Promoter, driving the naval sector to promote this technology.

Repsol

Repsol is a global multi-energy company that is leading the energy transition and has set the goal of being net zero emissions by 2050. It is present throughout the entire energy value chain, employs 24,000 people, distributes its products in more than 90 countries and has 24 million customers. Repsol can satisfy any energy need of consumers, with a customer-focused solutions. It produces an approximate average of 550,000 barrels of oil per day and has one of the most efficient refining systems in Europe. The company is transforming its seven industrial complexes in Spain, Portugal and Peru into multi-energy hubs, through cutting-edge projects that will reduce its carbon footprint and allow it to be a benchmark in the production of renewable hydrogen and renewable fuels by 2030.

Collaborators

As collaborating partners of the projects are associations, technology centers and universities, as well as companies from different sectors, such as air and maritime transport, the steel sector, manufacturers of gas storage and distribution systems, electricity producers, engineering for electric mobility, transport, engineering or companies focused on the design and processing of advanced materials.
